CONTACT LENSES |
|
Have you ever been told that you could not wear contact lenses? This might not be true.
With the latest in contact lens technology, even patients with astigmatism, allergies, and bifocals may be contact lens candidates. Dr. Gabrenya uses the very newest contact lens products and works with you, the patient, to find the best options for your lifestyle.
Dr Gabrenya has patients from 8 years old to 80 years old successfully wearing contact lenses, even the most difficult of fit. Contact lenses may be a great alternative to glasses. |

CHILDREN’S VISION |
|
A significant amount of what children learn is learned through their visual systems. A child who is nearsighted of farsighted may have trouble in the classroom and a young child may not even realize that he or she is having a vision problem.
The American Optometric Association recommends comprehensive eye exams at 6 months, 3 years, and 5 years of age, and annually for school age children.
As part of your child’s eye examination Dr. Gabrenya does more than just check for glasses. She assesses ocular health, binocular vision, accommodative ability, and more. Dr Gabrenya and her staff work at making your child’s eye exam a thorough, pleasant and interesting experience for both you and your child. |

LOW VISION |
|
Dr. Gabrenya completed a residency in low vision rehabilitation. She is skilled in the examination, treatment and management of patients with visual impairments not fully treatable by medical, surgical or conventional eyewear or contact lenses.
Each type of low vision problem requires a different therapeutic approach. A thorough examination, which will also include tests to determine the patient’s current vision status, will result in the development of a treatment plan. Treatment plans may include prescription of glasses, specialized optical systems, therapeutic filters, non-optical options, and/or video magnification, and prescription of rehabilitation therapy to effectively maximize visual functioning for activities of daily living. |
